Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Penrod earned his BA in Behavioral Psychology in 1971 from Emory University and attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. He spent seventeen years work at the Yerkes Primate Research Center, (part of the Woodruff Medical Center) at he Emory University School of Medicine. Over those years he became acutely aware of his interest in the well being of all animals and decided to return to school and earn his veterinary degree. He graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from the University of Georgia. Dr. Penrod joined Conyers Animal Hospital in 2000. Dr. Penrod lives with his wife Margaret and their three cats and two dogs. He loves to travel, and his hobbies include photography, cinema history, animal rescue and animal charities.
