Veterinarian Overview
A 1988 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Moorehead came to Atlanta after graduation. He worked for the Atlanta Humane Society for three years prior to founding MainStreet Veterinarians of Stone Mountain in 1995. He also worked as a relief veterinarian in and around the metro Atlanta area after leaving the Atlanta Humane Society. Despite being very successful practicing traditional medicine, in 1999 he embarked on a journey of practicing alternative healing therapies such as VOM (Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation) and CRA (Contact Reflex Analysis). Due to great response to these more holistic/natural approaches, Dr. Moorehead began to study and engaged in a therapy called NRT (Nutrition Response Testing). He has received extensive training in this field. As a matter of fact, in March of 2008 he received the title of Master of Advanced Clinical Training in Nutrition Response Testing™. He is currently, one of two veterinarians in the Southeast United States to be trained to utilize this healing technology at its highest level. His very successful practice focuses on total animal wellness using both Nutritional Response Testing and traditional medicine. Dr. Moorehead tailors his programs to each individual animal also performing chiropractic work on dogs and cats.
