Veterinarian Overview
Welcome to All Pets Veterinary Clinic. My name is Darrell Winterowd, DVM. I established All Pets Veterinary Clinic over 30 years ago. My veterinary special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry and wellness visits. I have been on television through KCRG news room for a number of years on Wednesdays. I answer call in veterinary questions and talk about current issues in the veterinary field. Wellness visits are an important part of canine and feline health. Yearly or bi-yearly physicals are part of practicing good medicine. Wellness visits include a thorough physical, heartworm and tick testing for dogs, possible baseline blood testing and urinalysis. We want to be able to find problems early so that medication and diet will extend your pets life. We all tend to forget that one year of our petÂ’s life is equivalent to 7 years of our life. Dentistry has always been a passion of mine. Many owners fail to understand that bad breath, inflamed gums, heavy tartar and rotten teeth can lead to heart, liver and kidney problems. It is very rewarding to see a clean teeth and fresh breath after cleaning and polishing teeth and removing bad ones. I have also enjoyed visiting and talking to the many clients over the years. I welcome their questions about their pets and also getting to know them on a personal basis. Dr. Winterowd lives with two dogs and two cats, many horses and three barn cats. He loves living in the country and using heavy equipment around the farm.
