Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carlo is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She received her certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist by the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in October 2010. Dr. Carlo is a member of the Greater Des Moines Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. In addition to general veterinary medicine, Dr. Carlo enjoys all phases of canine and feline rehabilitation medicine including massage therapy, underwater treadmill therapy, stem cell therapy and laser pain therapy. She and her husband, Tim, have two children, John and Emily. In Dr. Carlo's free time, she spends time quilting, cooking, reading, walking, bike riding, traveling and Tae Kwon Do.
