Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Charlotte Detmer graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Detmer attended Murray State University where she obtained a bachelors degree in Animal Science. Dr. Detmer also achieved a Master of Science degree at Colorado State University, where she worked under Dr. Temple Grandin and focused on dairy calf respiratory disease and employee training. Dr. Detmer has a strong interest in food animal medicine, equine medicine and dentistry, and ophthalmology. She grew up with horses, beef cattle, and pigs on a farm in Aviston Illinois. In her spare time, she enjoys spending her time camping and riding horses.
