Dr. Vernot is an amazing vet. Our cat had a serious eye tumor as well as being blind. Other vets did not want to treat our kitty and recommended we find a specialist. She explained the life threatening condition with the tumor and various options. After surgery to remove the painful tumor, we elected to have her infected eyes removed as well and stitched closed. We saw Dr. Vernot at Veterinary Vision in Lisle, IL. The staff was kind, courteous and helpful. Dr. Vernot explained all of the pros and cons of treatment for us and even told us of some "cheaper alternatives" that we decided not to pursue. If your pet needs eye surgery or specialties regular vets cannot do, I highly recommend Dr. Vernot. She is well worth her specialty fees. Our cat may be down one of her nine lives but after the surgery she became a totally different kitty. Running and playing with her bonded partner who knows she is blind and always looking out for her.
This doctor is amazing and so knowledgeable. I learned a lot about my dogs eyes that a regular vet was unable to tell me. She is currently treating my Shih Tzu and has been wonderful. If your dog has an eye injury or infection, I would highly recommend Dr. Vermont.
