Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kristi Russell grew up in a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She has spent her entire life surrounded by the veterinary medical field, since she has followed in her fathers footsteps. Dr. Russell attended Baldwin-Wallace College, where she majored in Biology, and minored in Chemistry and English. Upon completion of her junior year, Dr. Russell was accepted a year early into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. Dr. Russell has practiced small animal (with some pocket pet/exotic) medicine in Virginia and Ohio. She and her husband, Mark, moved to Illinois for a pastoral position. Dr. Russell spends her extra time helping her husband with senior high youth ministry at GatheringPoint Church. She is a team captain for Team World Vision and enjoys competing in marathons, triathlons, etc., and is a strong advocate for healthy lifestyles. She values her time with her family (Mark, Emma, and Adilene) and pets Kirby the French Bulldog, Hamlet the guinea pig, KD , the cat, and Cecil the turtle). Dr. Russell also enjoys reading, singing, wood burning, and decorating cakes.
