Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Asuncion is originally from the Detroit suburbs. After attending Wayne State University for her undergraduate work, she attended Michigan States College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1990. Her first veterinary position was near Detroit in a large practice treating small animals. She took a position at Illiana Veterinary Hospital late 1991 and relocated to Northwest Indiana, where she has stayed since. She enjoys both the staff and client family at Illiana and the emphasis on client care and compassion. Dr. Asuncion and her husband have two children, ages 14 and 16, and a Golden Retriever named Indy. She spends her spare time attending her childrens various activities and her hobbies include gardening and bicycling.
