Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Snyder is a Springfield native. He earned a degree in accounting from Illinois State University and went on to become a C.P.A. and get a Master's Deg ree in Business Administration. Although he enjoyed working as an accountant, he always felt drawn to animals, especially dogs and cats. His decision to go back to school to become a veterinarian was difficult, but extremely rewarding. After graduating from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine, he returned to the area and worked for several local veterinary clini cs, including some emergency medicine work. His dream to own his own clinic came true in October 2011, when he purchased Parkway Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Richard Speck. Dr. Snyder and his wife have a daughter, five dogs and two cats. He is pictured here with one of his dogs, Milly Sue.
