I have never met Dr. Dory but we did adopt a beautiful boxer/mix that she saved. Upon reviewing our newly adopted dog"s health records we learned that Dr. Rachel was asked to euthanize Abby by her previous owner. Owner reason stated was she had a hematoma on one ear. Dr. Dory declined the request!! Great decision Dr Rachel !!!!!!!!! Owner then took this sweet 8 year old dog to a dog pound and dumped her off. Keep in mind this sweet dog had nothing else wrong with her.!!! Abby was rescued by Albert's Dog Lounge Whitewater, Wisconsin within two weeks of being her being abandoned. My wife and I adopted her two weeks ago. Simply stated, Dr. Rachel Dory saved this dog's life!!! Obvious Dr Dory is a caring veterinarian who wants what is best for her patients. We have had 4 adopted Greyhounds athletes from the tracks and 1 truly rescued Greyhound over the past 23 years. Love our Greyhounds .---Lost our last Greyt at 15 years 8 days back in April '21 Due to our senior age and some health issues we opted to go a different route. When we met Abby---it was love at first sight. The only way to desribe her isshe is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. She is laying here by my feet as i type this. Oh, by the way, that hematoma in her ear went away without any treatment leaving a small pimple. If Dr. Rachel reads this hopefully she will remember this white boxer with half white face and other half light grey. ( We noticed in her bio==she has a boxer also!)
11 She is a cute doll on exterior and full of love inside. Over the years we have travelled significant miles with our 5th wheel RV. Our Greyhounds-always 2 -travelled and hiked many miles with us. Abby went camping with us for the first time last week for 4 nights. How did that go ?? PERFECT !! Rachel Dory saved this boxers life and we hope to love and care for her many more years!!! Thank you Rachel!!!!
