Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schweikhardt grew up in northern Rush County where his family farmed; it is here that he first began working with animals at a young age. He graduated from Tri High School in 1973, afterwards attending Purdue University to study veterinary medicine. He graduated with a doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1979. He and his wife Ruth (Edwards) were married in 1982. In 1983, they opened Buck Creek Veterinary Clinic. They have two sons, Shawn and Ryan. They currently live near Mays and share their home with a Maltese named Scoobie. Dr. Schweikhardt and his family are active members of Center Christian Church and feel blessed to be able to serve the Lord through the animals he has created and be a part of such a wonderful community
