Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Camela Schmitz learned the value of hard work on her familys dairy farm located in eastern Ohio. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College with a Bachelors in Biology, and then moved on to Ohio State where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following graduation she worked at a mixed animal practice in Ashland, Ohio before moving to Indiana. Dr. Schmitz worked at Kurtz Veterinary Clinic in Hagerstown for two years before joining her husband in practice. In between running two clinics and chasing after her children, Dr. Camela enjoys gardening.
