Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Melissa Detweiler is an alumnus of Kansas State University. She received her bachelors degree in Animal Science and Industry in 1999 and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She primarily practices small animal medicine in our Sabetha office. In addition to general medicine and surgery, Dr. Detweiler also has an interest in animal behavior and training. She is very active in the Sabetha community with board positions on the Community Animal Protection Society (CAPS) and the First Lutheran Church Preschool Committee. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being out in the yard during the warm months, running, fishing, following K-State sports, and, above all, spending time with her husband, children, and their Rottweiler mix, Lucy!
