Veterinarian Overview
Dr. David T. Harder, joined PVVH in July 0f 2008. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Minnesota, where he also completed a Master's of Public Health. Dr. Harder worked for 3 years in the Pathology division of the Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, and also completed externships in MN, WI, PA and IN dairy practice, as well as beef feedlots in Nebraska and Alberta. Whether it is cattle, horses, dogs, cats, or other species, he enjoys the diversity of animals seen at PVVH and looks forward to new challenges daily. Special interests include equine dentistry, reproduction, and nutrition of various species. Since joining PVVH, Dr. Harder has also been active in designing software to allow our veterinarians to better track herd health performance and help producers to maximize profits. His family includes his wife Rachel, son Andrew and daughter Annalise. Recent publications include consultation for Dairy Management Inc.TM on the public health implications of foot and mouth disease virus in dairy products.
