Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Eric Carlson grew up in Bentonville, AR then moved to southeast Kansas during high school. He showed Angus cattle extensively as a youth. Erics family owned ranch horses while he was growing up and he continues to ride for enjoyment in his spare time. Eric attended veterinary school at Kansas State University then owned a mixed animal practice with an equine emphasis (Carlson Veterinary Service) in Westmoreland, KS for 4.5 years. Eric then decided to pursue specialization in equine surgery. He completed internships at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and the University of Illinois. He completed a residency specializing in equine surgery at the University of Illinois and Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. Eric enjoys all aspects of equine surgery and lameness.
