Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Snyder was raised in Kansas and graduated from Salina High School. He attended Kansas State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. Dr. Snyder practiced large and small animal medicine and surgery in Wetmore, Kansas for 15 years and founded University Bird and Small Animal Clinic, PA in 1984. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Assn., Kansas Veterinary Medical Assn, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Assn., and is licensed in Kansas, Colorado and California. Dr. Snyder was trained in veterinary acupuncture at Colorado State University and has a special interest in alternative/complementary medicine and adipose stem cell therapy. Dr. Snyder is a certified Stem Cell practitioner and through University Bird and Small Animal Clinic, has been involved in over 50 stem cell cases ranging from arthritis, muscle, tendon, and ligament injury, to immune mediated diseases, kidney failure and other degenerative conditions of dogs and cats. Dr. Snyder has a strong working relationship with local Ferret Rescue groups and maintains a good working knowledge of this interesting species unique problems.Dr. Snyder and his wife, Jeanine, live near Topeka and have raised and shown AKC Yorkshire Terriers for several years.Dr. Snyder's interests range from natural, drug-free healing methods to stained glass and antique car restoration.
