Veterinarian Overview
Johnnie Bruner DVM has been a general practitioner of small animal medicine and surgery in the Wichita area since graduating in 1987 from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is an active member of the Wichita Veterinary Medical Association and has been instrumental in the origination of the local veterinary staff association. He is also a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical AssociationHe serves on the Board of Directors for the Maize Education Foundation, Partners For Progress, a nonprofit group that raises monies for technology grants and supplementation of the arts for the students in the Maize School District.Dr. Bruner is a graduate of Derby High School, Colby Community College, and Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science Poultry Production. He is married to Patti and owned by her dog, Emma. He has four children and six grandchildren. On his bucket list is a project to restore two 1941 Chevrolets to their original condition - a project that he and his late father started. He enjoys painting with watercolors and has had a painting accepted and exhibited at the Great Eight Watercolor Society show.
