My daughter's first little kitten (that she carries everywhere) started acting funny or dizzy. We brought her and the kitten to Pine Hills Vet with the promise he would be treated well and return to health soon. As we arrived, everyone seemed nice enough. When we arrived, an assistant did not inquire about our cat but rather stated that the visit could cost between $80 and $160. I explained that we weren't interested in putting a price on our cat's life. (Needless to say, the bill totaled $160, including a miscellaneous charge of $15 to adjust the difference.) The vet then entered with no diagnosis or instructions. He quickly gave our cat two shots and said he'd be fine. Two days later, with my daughter looking on, he died in my arms as I held his paws and breathed life into him. I spent the rest of my day holding my baby girl, whose heart was broken for the first time. There is a vet in Union Parish that does excellent work, but they were busy, and we made the mistake of choosing this place. Please don't make that same mistake if you love your pet as part of your family.
