Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Parrish grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, and studied biology at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. During undergrad, she was a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, as well as being involved with the equestrian team, Moravian College Choir, and Moravian College Women's Chorus, of which she was Treasurer. When it came time to apply to veterinary school, a lack of opportunity to study abroad spurred her decision to apply to the University of Glasgow. Upon acceptance, she chose to spend the next 5 years studying veterinary medicine in Glasgow, Scotland, at the alma mater of veterinarian and author James Herriot.Shortly after graduating in 2015, she accepted a position at Buckeystown Veterinary Hospital, with interests in ambulatory medicine, herd health, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, singing in the choir at Buckeystown UMC, reading, hiking, and photography. She is owned by a shepherd mix, Hogan, and a labrador, Rocky
