Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Marian Shaw is a graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary medicine, at Virginia Tech. Her undergraduate studies were at Tufts University where she studied animal behavior. Dr. Shaws main interests in veterinary medicine are laser surgery, sports medicine, pet birds and exotic pets. She does volunteer work in wildlife medicine. She has worked with veterinarians at The National Zoo and Sea World.Dr. Shaw lives on a farm with her husband Doug Dobbin, her sons Travis and Nate, her dogs, horses and llamas. Her hobbies include being a 4H leader, teaching the Llama Project and dog agility. She raises, trains and shows Labrador Retrievers and Norfolk Terriers.
