Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hawley was raised on a Dairy farm in Arkansas, the family sold out and started raising horses, mules, and Donkeys. The farm today is known as Hawleywoods mule farm. Dr. Hawley enlisted in the Army after high school and served 8 years before ending his time in service and then moving back to help on the family farm. While working on the farm he attended college and was accepted to Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine where he earned his degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). The Army recruited him to serve and he was commissioned as a Captain. While in the Army Dr. Hawley earned his Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Uniformed Service University. He then studied to become a board certified Diplomate in Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM). He served many years studying infectious disease and working with exotic animals. Dr. Hawley earned the rank of Major before retiring May 2016. Dr. Hawley has two wonderful daughters Camden 13yr, and Claire 11yr. You may see Claire around the clinic as she is very serious about becoming a Veterinarian. As for Camden you may see her art one day in a museum. He has two naughty cats (Vergo and Penelope) a pond full of Koy and a lizard named Pineapple.
