Veterinarian Overview
We welcomed Dr. Pondish to the Hunt Valley Animal Hospital team in June, 2012. Dr. Pondish graduated from Cornell University in 1992, earning a Bachelors degree in Biology with a specialization in Animal Physiology and Anatomy. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with a VMD in 1996.Since graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Pondish has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in NJ, PA, and NC, most recently serving as the Medical Director in a hospital in NC prior to moving to Maryland in 2012. Dr. Pondish has completed a course in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery at the University of Georgia and has a special interest in Nutrition. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.Dr. Pondish has 2 beautiful daughters and currently shares his home with 4 Border Collies, making for a very active house at times! In his spare time, he enjoys playing flyball with his younger Border Collie, Kelsey, as well as reading, listening to music and cooking/eating spicy food.
