Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schofield was born and raised in Indiana, where she began her career in veterinary medicine working a veterinary technician in high school. She graduated with a BA in Biology from Earlham College in Richmond, IN. After graduation, Chaundra continued to work as a veterinary technician for several years and as a marine biologist at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (Edgewater, MD). Dr. Schofield attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating from veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship focusing in emergency and critical care at a specialty referral hospital in northern Virginia. Dr. Schofield was very happy to join the Family Veterinary Clinic team in the fall of 2013. Her hobbies include horseback riding, Middle Eastern dancing, photography, playing guitar and making jewelry. She and her husband share their home with their dog Teka (pictured), and 2 cats, Josie and Sera.
