Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Meilleur is originally from Newton, Kansas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kansas State University in 2007, where she studied biology, microbiology and animal science. She then continued her studies at Kansas State Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2012.During her clinical rotations, she traveled to Alaska to work for the Iditarod Trail Committee, gaining valuable experience working with sled dogs entering the 2012 Iditarod. Following graduation, she accepted a yearlong position working at Kansas State Universitys Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the oncology department, where she worked on an oncology clinical trial for dogs and with senior veterinary students during their oncology rotations. Dr. Meilleurs passion for sporting/working dogs, lead her to accept an internship at Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine (VOSM) and make the move the Maryland. She gained daily experience in orthopedic conditions and physical rehabilitation practices in addition to becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP). In August 2014, Dr. Meilleur joined Lynn Animal Hospital. She enjoys softball, hiking, sporting events and spending time with her husband Shane and two dogs, Rylee & Dakota.
