Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ogunyemi, often called Dr. O., has been a practicing veterinarian since graduating from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1996. During her childhood, Dr. Ogunyemi had a great love of all animals and spent most vacation days at a local farm taking care of chickens, pigs, dogs and goats. She was inspired to become a veterinarian after an outbreak of a disease on the farm. After veterinary school, she lived in London, United Kingdom for five years prior to moving to the United States.Dr. Ogunyemi brings a compassionate and caring approach for all pets and clients alike. Her career has been devoted to families and their pets. Since 2003, Dr. Ogunyemi has been practicing small animal medicine for her patients in the Baltimore area. She has worked at Paw Prints Pet Hospital since 2009. Dr. Ogunyemi has enjoyed all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, as well as a special interest in complex diseases and dentistry. She has a strong belief in preventive care to help maximize the quality of life and prolong the life of pets.Dr. Ogunyemi is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association. She attends as many veterinary conferences as her busy schedule allows to expand her knowledge and stay current with new diagnostics and therapeutics. She has a love of learning and is currently working on her certification as a canine rehabilitation practitioner through the University Of Tennessee..In her spare time, Dr. Ogunyemi enjoys volunteering at various community organizations, homeless shelters and is an active member of her church. She also enjoys spending time with family, reading and trying new recipes. She lives nearby with her daughter, Ini, and Daisy a hyperactive cocker spaniel mix, which was a rescue, like all of her previous pets.
