Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Mesfin's passion is for preventative care medicine and being a partner with pet owners in taking care of their pet's health care.Dr. Mesfin is a 2000 graduate from Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Utrecht university veterinary faculty is the first veterinary faculty to get accredation by AVMA outside the North America. He has been a veterinarian for the last fifteen years of which the last 12 years as Chief of Staff and Senior Partner with a known national veterinary practice hospital, the leader in preventative veterinary care, at Waldorf and Bowie, Maryland. As a hospital leader, he has made the hospital he started working to grow from a two doctor hospital to a five doctor hospital. Under his leadership, the hospital has won several national and regional awards in medical quality and customer service areas.Dr. Mesfin is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the Greater Upper Marlboro Business Association.Besides preventative and diagnostic medicine, he does a wide range of soft tissue surgeries, dentistry including extractions, digital radiography.Dr. Mesfin lives in Lanham Maryland with his wife, Senait, twin daughters, Mahlet and Meklit, cat, Mobie, and Twister Shi Tzu Bischone mix . He likes to run, exercise regularly and spending time with his family.
