Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Robyn Schmidt received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2012. Before joining the team at Cloquet Animal Hospital in 2016 ,she has worked as an associate veterinarian at Wasilla Veterinary Clinic and Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic, both in Alaska, and at the VCA Oso Creek Veterinary Clinic and Emergency Center in Corpus Christi, TX. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Robyn spent a lot of time working with sled dogs. She has worked for both the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest Races as a drop dog coordinator and veterinary technician. She also worked with previous champions of these races as their handler. When Robyn isnt working, she loves to be outdoors hiking, camping, kayaking, and canoeing. She also loves to read, listen to music, and hang out with dear friends. But most of all, she loves to travel to new and old places and is always up for an adventure. Robyn is pictured with her beautiful Alaskan Husky Ellie who has run in four Iditarod Sled Dog races. Ellie is now 15 years old and enjoying a peaceful retirement.
