The service that Ms. Stephanie Torfin has provided for our cat wasn’t performed with reasonable care and skill. She was insensible. She grumbled all the time. She whispered to the receptionist quite often which was like she was hiding something from us. She called our cat “Kitty” even though we told her that her name was Slepy. She again muttered as, “who would call a cat Slepy”, turned back to us and said, “you know what, my name is Stephanie, she reminds me my name” with a a sarcastic attitude.. Our cat suffered because of her negligence. She is guilty of professional negligence by not meeting the standard of care based on what other vets would reasonably do in the same circumstances. Her judgement about what the most appropriate treatment was poor. She has been dishonest, and she has taken advantage of our ages and inexperience. We were very unhappy with the outcome of the treatment and we tried to talk to Ms. Torfin. Unfortunately, instead of giving us information she tried to avoid talking. She has a failure of communication. She had a frozen look when asked questions and she erased her glasses quite often trying to figure out if a desired outcome was possible. She didn't even look into our eyes. She was busy thinking something else all the time. An awful vet. I would not recommend her for anyone who loves pets.
