Veterinarian Overview
An Associate Veterinarian with Barry Road Hospital since 2009, Dr. Parsons-Starke brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice. She grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri and attended Maple Woods Community College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Animal Health Technology in 1979. After working in the field for several years, Dr. Parsons-Starke attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and received her doctorate in 1990. She became owner of Claycomo Animal Hospital in 1995 after being an associate Veterinarian with the practice for 5 years. In 2008 Dr. Parsons-Starke sold the practice and joined the staff at Barry Road Animal Hospital. She is married to Dr. William Starke, also a veterinarian. They have a Schnauzer/Terrier mix named Nelson. Dr. Parsons-Starke is a member of AVMA, MVMA and KCVMA. She has also served on the Missouri Veterinary Medical Board.
