Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Wes Cowan was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Southwest Missouri State University and Central Methodist College. In 1989 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After graduating, Dr. Cowan worked in California and Kansas. He later joined the staff of Gladstone Animal Clinic in the Kansas City area and Holt Animal Clinic in Holt, Missouri. Dr. Cowan is past and present members of Phi Zeta Honor Society, Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society, Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. His hobbies include, weight training, fishing, home renovation, scuba diving, camping, biking and spending time with his wife and 3 children. His particular area of expertise is in orthopedic surgery but is enthusiastic about all areas of veterinary medicine and care. Dr. Cowan, Thank you for taking care of me last year when I broke my leg. Its been a year now! Wow, time flies! You demonstrated heroic measures to help my bones heal. Im not telling how I broke it. Im keeping that secret! I can hop and run around. My family cant believe Im really 15! I just wanted you to know Im thinking waggy thoughts about you. Wags and kisses!
