Veterinarian Overview
Teresa Garden, DVM is chief veterinarian and owner of Animal Health & Healing. Dr. Garden graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and has been practicing holistic medicine since 2003 when she joined Animal Health & Healing. Her areas of expertise within the veterinary holistic field include classical homeopathy, nutrition, Bach flower remedies, and nutraceuticals. Dr. Garden has completed basic and advanced training in veterinary homeopathy. She is currently working toward certification by the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. Dr. Garden writes a bi monthly column for The Healthy Planet newspaper and has been a guest lecturer at Whole Foods, Three Dog Bakery, Pets in the City, Wolfgangs, Lola & Penelope's, and One Lucky Mutt. In 2006 and 2007 St. Louie Tails Pet Magazine Readers' Choice Awards named Dr. Garden Best Vet and Best Holistic Vet/Practice. In 2008 Dr. Garden was nominated for Veterinarian of the Year in a contest sponsored by the Morris Animal Foundation. Dr. Garden is a member of the following professional organizations: AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) AVH (Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy) AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association) MVMA (Missouri Veterinary Medical Association) GSLVMA (Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association) Dr. Garden is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas.
