Veterinarian Overview
As a child, Dr. Griffin was actually extremely frightened of dogsshe would have to placed on her fathers shoulders if one was around! After her family cared for a rescue dog named Midnight and he showed young Dr. Griffin the compassion and love animals can give, she grew to love and trust them, and decided at the age of six that she wanted to become a veterinarian!Jen grew up in the Chicago area and received a Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University in Wildlife Management. After graduating from the University of Illinoiss College of Veterinary Medicine, she began working at clinics. After several years, she purchased Northbay Animal Hospital and converted it to Happy Tails Animal Hospital to serve the surrounding community.As a veterinarian, Dr. Griffin enjoys internal medicine, laser therapy, and pain management. She loves her challenging and rewarding career and is thankful shes able to help animals every day!Jen lives with her husband and two young daughters. The family has three dogs, Titan, Parker, and Luna, as well as two indoor cats, Swiper and Pascal, and Pumpkin, the outdoor cat. In her free time, Dr. Griffin likes crafts, scrapbooking, swimming, running, and playing with her girls. She also enjoys camping as a family
