Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jim was born in Meridian, Ms. He graduated from Meridian High School before attending Mississippi State University and then Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Jim has been very active in the Brandon and Rankin county community. He has been dedicated to involvement in the Mississippi Cattlemens Association on a county, state and national level. He has been a deputy commissioner or commissioner for the Rankin County Soil and Water Conservation District for the last 25 years. He has been involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Brandon Lions Club for 27 years, and a member of First United Methodist and now Crossgates United Methodist Church. He has been a member of the Greater Jackson Veterinary Association, the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Jim has recently retired as a member of the Mississippi Board of Animal Health. Currently, Jim is the director of the new Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Flowood, Mississippi. Jim's favorite pastime is his love for farming and raising cattle. He spends every minute away from veterinary medicine working on his farm
