Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cortland "Cory" Cheney began his career in southern Alamance County after graduating from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Before veterinary school, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Kenyon College, while serving as a volunteer fireman and emergency medical technician. In October 2015, he had the opportunity to continue in Dr. Nancy Hesters footsteps, assuming ownership of Phoenix Animal Hospital. Dr. Cheney would like to thank the community, clients, and staff for their continued support and he hopes to meet everyone soon. Dr. Cheney grew up in the small farming community of Coshocton, Ohio. His interests include backpacking, fishing, and carpentry. When not in the hospital, he can usually be found in the woods or on the water.
