Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Reeve was motivated to become a veterinarian for one simple reason: "I love medicine," she said. "I love the search for the answer, the ability to make pets happier, feel better, and have more time to spend with their people. Their look of complete devotion makes me feel as though I'm doing something worthwhile." Dr. Reeve received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and since graduation has worked in the Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire area. She earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Northeastern University. Having grown up in Massachusetts, Dr. Reeve remembers walking up to Dana Hall Riding Center in Wellesley to clean stalls and braid horses for shows, and cleaning stalls at 4 a.m. at her parents' horse farm. Prior to attending veterinary college, Dr. Reeve worked as a veterinary nurse. Since she opened Suncook River Veterinary Clinic in 2010, Dr. Reeve has fostered a family atmosphere at her hospital. "I love my clients and they are always so incredibly grateful. Their trust in me to care for their pets drives me to learn more, practice better medicine and improve the clinic," she said. Dr. Reeve has professional interests in small animal dentistry, general medicine and ultrasound. Dr. Reeve and her husband have two children and she relaxes by playing ice hockey, horseback riding, cycling and playing soccer. The family has a variety of pets, including a horse named Derby, two dogs named Angus and Hogan, four cats named Fezzik, Gimli, Bear and Willow, a turtle, a rabbit and some chickens.
