Veterinarian Overview
Veterinarian, Dr. DeSena - grew up in upstate New York, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell Universitys College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 1979. In 1980 he moved to Gainesville Florida to pursue a graduate research assistantship at University of Floridas College of Veterinary Medicine, studying the reproductive physiology and artificial breeding of the American Alligator. After completing his thesis and receiving his Master of Science degree, he went on to receive his Doctorate from UF in 1986. His experience with Floridas wildlife, zoological parks and marine attractions fueled a lifelong special interest in exotic species medicine. Dr. Bobs other passions include music (he has performed with several area bands as a drummer and vocalist over the past decade), collecting antique oddities, and fishing.
