Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Salatiello grew up in Morris Plains, New Jersey, knowing from an early age that he wanted to be a veterinarian. This passion was instilled after watching a live C-section on a Basset Hound performed at the 4-H Fair in Morristown, NJ. While growing up he spent many summers working at a local veterinary hospital. He obtained his degree with distinction from the University of Delaware in Animal Science. He then went on to receive his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. After graduation, Dr. Salatiello joined a 10 doctor practice in central NJ becoming a partner after a few years. Spending more than 20 years as a managing partner he left to work at several practices closer to home then joining his wife at Califon in January of 2016. Dr. Sal as he is frequently referred to, is a member of the AVMA and NJVMA. His professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery,dentistry, internal medicine as well as wellness care. He enjoys skiing,fishing,playing baseball as well as coaching, and of course, working on the family farms with his wife and children.
