Horrific experience with this "veterinarian" that left us traumatized and scared. He was completely unprofessional and unethical when we brought our beloved pet in for emergency care at North Star. Within 2 minutes, he told us our dog needed to be put down "immediately." There were actually other options for our pet, including to see a specialist, but he refused to discuss them. Instead, he threw an adult temper tantrum and stormed out of the room when we told him we were going to wait to see a specialist. Despite his "expert opinion," our dog was treated by a specialist. Drastura's behavior was inexcusable. We will be reporting him to the veterinary board. My daughter thought he was going to kill our pet on purpose because we disagreed with him about putting our dog immediately. He seemed extremely angry and aggressive without cause. This went beyond a bad night and bad communication skills. We were afraid. Who treats the family of a dying pet this way?
