Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Fletcher, our Chief of Staff, grew up in East Paterson and New Milford, NJ, and lives in Bloomfield, NJ today. She received her undergraduate degree from Cook College at Rutgers University, and her veterinary degree from Ross University. Her husband was a US Air Force Officer, so over the years they have lived in many exciting places, including Martha's Vineyard, Arizona, Florida and the Caribbean island of Dominica. But she missed New Jersey so much she had to come back home. Before joining the Montvale Animal Hospital team in 2016, Dr. Fletcher worked at Newton Veterinary Hospital as an emergency veterinarian, and most recently as Chief of Staff at the Hawthorne Animal Hospital. Her special interests include animal behavior and training, pain management and hospice care, and endocrine diseases. In her spare time, Dr. Fletcher enjoys Aikido (she is currently a first degree black belt), yoga, cooking, party planning, scrapbooking, rollerblading, and rafting down the Delaware river with her two Pomeranians, Karl Lagerfeld and Ziggy Smalls (AKA The Notorious Z.I.G.).
