Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Keira Sokolowski hails from upstate New York. She gained her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Vassar College and her DVM from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating vet school in May 2010, she moved to South Florida and was an intern in an exotics-exclusive private practice. Missing seasons and snow, she moved back north and started at the Raritan Animal Hospital in May 2011, where she is happy to provide care for and perform surgery on any animal kept as a pet, from cats to rats to lizards, as long as it can fit inside a house. In addition to having a small menagerie at home, including a Senegal parrot (Coda), ferret (Alec), garter snake (Gus), and three cats (CĂ©ilidh, Mhairi, and Finlay), Dr. Sokolowski pursues numerous hobbies, as time permits. These include board gaming, Scottish country dancing, vintage ballroom dancing and costuming, playing piano and flute, singing, cooking, and reading.
