Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Collins joined the AnimERge veterinary team in 2007 and performs both soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures. She made the decision to become a veterinarian was she was in 8th grade. At that time, she was surrounded by cattle, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, geese, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, mice, rats, and a rare horse. She grew up ever more fascinated and frustrated by disease, so she chose veterinary medicine to get the answers.She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and is affiliated with the Veterinary Orthopedic Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American College of Veterinary Surgeons. As one of our veterinary surgeons, she enjoys interacting with her right and left hands, Cyndi and Christie. She also loves listening to the stories of her clients and rechecking her surgery patients.Dr. Collins is the proud mother of three children, Nate, Camille, and Camden and two pet children, a cat named Kitty and a hamster named Fluffy. In her spare time, she lovesto read, hike, ride her bike, and do various home improvement projects.
