Dr. Walker and his staff go above and beyond in their care of their vulnerable population of patients. They have been a tremendous help with our 2 fur babies and sadly, found that our beautiful Golden Retriever, Jake Jason Medley, was experiencing the last stages of renal failure and made every effort to help him, but unfortunately, it was too late. Our sweet, extremely intelligent, sensitive, and handsome boy transitioned on August 11, 2019, after a tenacious fight to live under the caring hands of Dr. Walker. Dr. Walker met my husband and I at his clinic on a Sunday so that our baby boy wouldn't suffer for that day as he was nauseous and dry heaving and could no longer walk even with assistance in helping him up to stand and steadying him. as he quit eating or drinking indicating that his little organs were shutting down. This came on quite abruptly he day prior and he experienced nausea and vomiting before, but this time was different and Jake communicated to us that he was ready to go and he no longer was fighting anymore as he'd done in prior weeks. This was very upsetting for us and we knew that our baby was ready to go to Heaven, or the Rainbow Bridge as some say where animals run and play together until their special someone they loved comes and joins them. Dr. Walker answered every text message I sent to him during this short, but intense fight for Jake's life and his staff immediately scheduled Jake in when necessary. In fact, one receptionist was extremely protective of Jake even over that of me, Jake's Mommy, when it came to caring for Jake and ensuring that I followed directions! I both admire and applaud her for that! The staff was/are amazing and Dr. Walker helped my husband and I cope in a very difficult situation that neither one of us wanted to be in...but were. Another staff member was present that really seemed to care for our Jakey and was also very empathetic. We will forever be grateful to Dr. Walker and his staff and will continue to frequent the top of the line AAHA Clinic/Hospital -- which is the highest accreditation that a Vet can obtain wherein one must adhere to many rigorous standards to be considered such and stamped with the AAHA endorsement (he has also won yearly awards for such since 2011 I believe? through the last year of 2018 which is quite impressive). We wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Walker and his staff given that many Vets often these days do not like to be bothered on their weekends or do not consider their "patients" to be as important as that of the human composition as evidenced by their lack of crisis response/behaviors toward to such.
