Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hedda Burnett is originally from Canaan, New Hampshire where she grew up among cats and dogs and nearby dairy farms. She received her bachelor of arts with a major in English from Bates College in Maine. Dr. Burnett attended Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Cum Laude. She then completed a small animal medicine and surgery Internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Burnett was appointed Hopes Medical Director by Dr. Young at the time of the VCA partnership and couldnt be more honored to continue Hopes philosophy of compassionate animal care, whole body medicine and to help guide Hope into the next phase with the joining of Cobble Hill Animal Clinic. Her special interests include small animal internal medicine, as well as nutrition, surgery and emergency care. When not working she loves cooking, running for competition and peace of mind, yoga, traveling, hiking and dog parks. Dr. Burnett lives with her rad husband, beloved dog - Reese Beast, and two ridiculous cats Chicken and Mini Monster.
