Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Peter Vyorst joined the medical team at Bronx Veterinary Center in 2011. He enjoys "not only helping people and their pets, but educating them as well." Dr. Vyorst also strives to help eliminate pain and suffering for the pets under his care. As a boy growing up in Long Island, N.Y., Dr. Vyorst's family always had pets. It was during his childhood that he began showing a serious interest in animals. Long before becoming a veterinarian, he volunteered and worked with animals in various settings. In 1974, Dr. Vyorst earned his bachelor's degree in history from Ohio State University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma, Italy in 1980. Dr. Vyorst is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Association and the New York City Veterinary Association.
