Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Fidel Briones grew up and attended veterinary school in Mexico at the Autonomous University of Puebla where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He later immigrated to the United States where he worked several years assisting other veterinarians in the New York City area. In 2005 he completed a year of clinical studies at Tuskegee University in Alabama and obtained his New York State Veterinary license. Dr. Briones has worked for the municipal shelter where he performed thousands of spay/neuter and soft tissue surgeries. He has also worked for the ASPCA as a consultant for various years as well as several other veterinary hospitals around New York City area. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the New York City Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Associations, and the American Veterinary Medical association. In his spare time Dr. Briones enjoys being active by jogging, swimming and bicycling. He also plays the guitar. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two children and his rescue dog Bella.
