Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gaylord earned his DVM at Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Before opening North Slope Veterinary, he worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Jersey City Animal Hospital and at the Humane Society of New York in Manhattan. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Gaylord received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and then went on to Hunter College where he received his Masters of Arts in Anthropology with a focus on primate behavior. He conducted field research with primates in Belize, Nicaragua, and Vietnam, and is passionate about wildlife conservation.Dr. Gaylord lives in the neighborhood with his wife Lauren and their dog, Turbo. He is thrilled to be the owner of North Slope Veterinary and is committed to providing excellent veterinary care to Brooklyn pets and their families
