Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Matthew Marc Souza was born and raised in southeastern Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Animal Science, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, then went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He moved to western New York soon after graduation to practice small animal medicine and surgery in the City of Buffalo. Within 5 years of graduation, he was offered the Hospital Director position at McClelland Animal Hospital, where he is currently the hospital owner and President. During his veterinary career in Buffalo, he has provided veterinary care not only to the community, but also, the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter and Second Chance Sheltering Network. Dr. Souza's most recent achievement was acquiring his private pilot's license. When not practicing veterinary medicine, he is pursuing further training in instrument rating and commercial licensure. Dr. Souza divides his spare time between family and friends, and of course, his numerous canine and feline friends.
