Special things I have done with animals: I did my externship at the Minnesota Zoo where I got to go behind the scenes during feeding for the Siberian Tigers, helped on a dental on one of the tigers as well; I did zoo rotations in my clinical year and helped assist the female orangutan with pregnancy issues as well as the female giraffe; I survived a Class 5 hurricane on the island of Grenada and relocated to North Carolina State University for a term while rebuilding in Grenada took place and tagged dolphins for research purposes.
