Veterinarian Overview
While growing up in Island Park, New York, Dr. Howard always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. With the invaluable support of her parents, she earned her Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Biology from New York University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.The most satisfying part about being a vet is reuniting sick pets with their families, she says. There is a great deal of joy when families consider you part of their family and trust you whole-heartedly.Dr. Howard joined Green Forest Veterinary Hospital in August 2014. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Association and the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association and is accredited by the United States Department of Agriculture. Her professional interests include internal medicine, preventive care and wildlife rehabilitation.When not providing excellent care for Green Forest Veterinary Hospitals patients, Dr. Howard is spending time with her fiancé Tom and their English Bulldog named Mack and two cats, Stinky and Mini-Stinky.
