Veterinarian Overview
Jen Steeves grew up in Martins Brook, Nova Scotia, Canada & currently resides in Greenwich NY with her husband John Cross and her daughter Megan. She graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1998 where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Shaftsbury, Vermont and began working as a mixed animal and exotic practitioner. In 2001, she moved to Salem, NY where she continue working as a mixed animal and exotic practitioner.In 2007, she joined a small animal practice in Clifton Park where she was able to add exotic medicine with a focus on cat and dog medicine and surgery. She has over 15 years experience working with exotics, such as birds, reptiles, pocket pets such as guinea pigs and hamsters & large animal such as goats and horses.Her areas of interest include canine and feline medicine and surgery, exotic medicine and surgery, western herbal medicine and ultrasound. Hobbies outside of work and other life interests include; farm and family life (chickens, horses, fish, cats & dogs), gardening, hiking and camping.
